Preparing Journalists for Resilient and Inclusive Media Futures

Audiences now consume news bite-sized, influencer-flavoured, and algorithm-wrapped. From TikTok to podcasts, people are changing how they find, trust, and share information. For journalism educators, this is both a challenge and an invitation to rethink how we teach, experiment, and inspire the next generation of storytellers. How do we prepare emerging journalists to meet audiences where they are, while safeguarding journalism’s role in democracy? The key question: How can we act now to ensure that tomorrow’s journalism not only adapts to new formats, but also keeps our democracies and information ecosystems healthy?

Sessions will include:
