Akhona Anathi Zibonti is an Editorial Assistant Mentee at Citizen Justice Network.  She is with sound understanding of Journalism, Social media and communication strategy implementations gained through academic and working experience, combined with outstanding research, analytical, administrative, social media, report writing and Website management skill and has 7 years’ experience working in the communication, social media and journalism field.

Her first job was a freelance journalist for the  Inner City Gazette in 2012,She left Inner City Gazette the following year to join Khanya  college a social justice organisation which ignited her love for all things social justice, but unfortunately her contract expired which later  saw her work for CMFD production a media/communication for development consultancy specializing in high quality communication materials and projects (serial radio dramas, radio spots, digital stories, music, theatre and print publications as a Communication coordinator & Sports Journalist.

She stayed two years at CMFD from 2014- 2015 and in 2016 she joined SeeSayDo Advertising an advertising platform which runs a win: win business model, incentivising a consumer’s brand experience while providing companies with critical product feedback and a shot at reaching the Holy Grail of marketing, I was the Social Media Strategist for one of their CSI projects YouthWorksSA an YouthWorksSA SA Employability Portal to all the youths of the Republic of South Africa.

The portal contains access to vital information such as: Career advising tools to find out your strengths and weaknesses, and get started on your career path. With over 400 high quality, online courses at your disposal, it will give you the opportunity to develop your skills at your own pace and convenience.
