Registration is open for the free course on Media and Digital Policy in Africa, available to journalism educators and students on the continent.
This self-paced online programme in two sections is self-paced and covers key issues facing journalism and digital media services on the continent. Participants can join any time, although they are encouraged to be part of the group that starts live on 16 October. “The programme is free, but participants can also pay to receive a professional certificate from Stellenbosch University,” says one of the course instructors, Emeritus Professor Guy Berger.
“The programme takes between 3-5 hours a week. In this, staff and students alike will find cutting edge knowledge about topics like Artificial Intelligence and access to data in Africa,’ he says. Ajen’s Prof Franz Krüger has contributed a module on the existential theme of media viability in digital times. Register here.
