Many South Africans live under the poverty line and to survive most of these people acquire debt, loans and hire purchase agreements. Law Focus this week looks at debt regulation as facilitated by the National Credit Regulator mandated by the National Credit Act 34 of 2005.
To explain the regulations better, we speak to Morris Maluleke, supervisor at the National Credit Regulator. To get advise on how to save, we speak to Gerald Mwandiambira from the South African Savings Institute and we close the show with psychology and therapy expert Siya Skhosana.
This edition of Law Focus is brought to you by Wits Radio Academy, produced by Bulali Dyakopu and hosted by Basil Sherinda. Technical production by Kutlwano “Gwinch” Serame.
