It’s the Wits University Disability Awareness Week.

We look at the assistive technology that helps blind students at universities by speaking to Wits assistive technologist Andrew Sam. Then Willem van der Walt from the CSIR shows us the computer he developed for blind people in all South African languages.

In Unscience this week, is it possible that politicians with good personal hygiene could be better at their jobs?

Later in the show we speak to Paul Chappell from the Wits Research Centre for Diversity Studies about about young disabled people in KZN and sexuality.

The Science Inside is presented by Elna Schütz and DJ Keyez. Our
production team is Gabriel Chemhuru with technical production by Kutlwano Serame.
